115KW solar photovoltaic system, delivered end to end.

Complete procurement and EPC installation of a 115KW solar photovoltaic power system — the engagement that established Flant Automations as a credible solar EPC contractor.

115KWJul 2015 – Jan 2018Full EPC scope

The situation

Maton Engineering & Construction Limited required a 115KW solar photovoltaic power system delivered as a single package — not a supply-only order with installation left to somebody else. That meant one contractor carrying the specification, the procurement, the physical installation, the electrical integration and the proof that the system performs.

What we did

  • Equipment specification and procurement. Module, inverter, mounting and balance-of-system selection against the site conditions and the load profile, then international sourcing and delivery to site.
  • Structural installation. Mounting structure design and erection sized for the array and the local wind and mounting conditions.
  • Electrical integration. DC and AC cabling, protection, combiner and distribution works, and integration into the site’s existing electrical infrastructure.
  • Inverter commissioning. Configuration, grid and load parameter setting, and functional commissioning of the conversion equipment.
  • System performance testing. Verification that the installed system delivers against the design intent — the step that separates a solar installation from a solar delivery.

Why it matters

Solar in Nigeria is not short of suppliers. It is short of contractors who will carry a system from specification through to a performance test they are prepared to be measured on. Spanning the complete solar project cycle on a system of this size established the company as a credible EPC contractor for utility-scale renewable installations, and the capability carried directly into subsequent work — including a further 16KW system for Idmon Engineering & Construction.

What it demonstrates

That we take single-source responsibility for a renewable energy system: one contract, one line of accountability, and a performance test at the end that either passes or does not.
